Ipad screen keeps dimming.

My Ipad screen keeps dimming- I have maximum brightness on, and auto brightness off.


This also happened to my previous ipad that I had to stop ussing because of this issue.


It's an Ipad 6th genertaion

Are you perhaps resting your hand on (or holding the iPad by) one of the edges? If so, you may be covering the ambient light sensor.


When viewed in Portrait orientation, with the connection port (and Home button if fitted) at the bottom of the screen, the ambient light sensor is placed in the top edge of the screen bezel - this being very narrow on the current versions of iPad Pro.


Dependent upon model, in this orientation, the sensor is often at top-right.
