Deleting app from the app library

I am having issues deleting a faulty app that I want to reinstall. When I try to delete the app from the app library by pressing the icon, it just gives me the option to share the app. I also can't delete directly from the home screen by pressing the icon. I'm only allowed to remove it from the home screen. Any ideas?

If no delete option is available, there may be a restriction set on deleting apps.

On an iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases > Deleting Apps.
