MacBook Air Won’t Turn On

I have a MacBook Air 2015 and it’s only turning on when the charger is connected I’ll hold down the power button for a few seconds and the dead battery logo will show up then the screen will shut off the MacBook apple logo also keeps flashing

Please help!

Hi,

Try to reset SMC which could solve the issue.

How to reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support

If it doesn't help, try to run Apple Diagnostics if it reports something related battery.

Thanks for the reply I tried out both of them and none of them seemed to work my MacBook is unable to turn on but when the charger is connected the dead battery screen pops up could that possibly mean I need to replace the battery?
