Preview Bug

Does anyone know how to solve the Preview bug where one highlights something and the app immediately moves the last highlight (often from a different page) messing up the reading? I have this problem since updating to BigSur in my Macbook Pro (2017) and know that many other users have it. Please help, it makes the PDF reader almost unusable.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.2

This was an issue with earlier Big Sur releases but was resolved with one of the updates after 11.2. I observed the problem here, and it is not reproducible when running 11.2.3.
