Preview Bug

Does anyone know how to solve the Preview bug where one highlights something and the app immediately moves the last highlight (often from a different page) messing up the reading? I have this problem since updating to BigSur in my Macbook Pro (2017) and know that many other users have it. Please help, it makes the PDF reader almost unusable.
