Turn off iCloud backup

Hi.

I have an old iPhone, that I rarely use now, since I have gotten a new one, but it takes up a lot of storage on iCloud. Can I turn off iCloud backup for this device to save some storage? What exactly does this and will I lose any data from this?

Thanks in advance.

iPhone SE, iOS 14

See the 'Manage your iCloud Backup' section in:

Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support

If there is a backup of your old iPhone, you can delete that. If your turn off backups for your new iPhone, you run the risk of not being able to restore your iPhone if you need to.

You can always backup to a computer. See the 'How to back up with your computer' section in:
