Apple watch 6 always on display

Hi everyone. I’m thinking on switch my current apple watch 4 into a new series 6.

The question is about underwater workouts, in the series 4, display goes black when I start swimming and is not easy to see metrics if you don’t stop and loose time.

But is it the same with the series 6 and the always on display?

I wonder if the series 6 keeps display on while training underwater, It will be so helpful for hard and non stop trainings.

Thanks!!

Yes it will stay on. But it goes into low power mode if not being used.

I don't know what kind of underwater exercise you are doing that you need to see your metrics as you go.

When I swim that last thing I want to do is stop to look at my watch face.

Find a friend that has a series 5 or 6 and try this for fun.

Fill up your sink or bath tub.

Start a workout such as "Other" turn on the water lock.

Now put your arm into the tub/sink and see how it looks to you.

Thanks for the reply. I think it can be enough.

When I train and make more than 100 laps is easy to get loss in the count, It will be very helpful if I can see the watch face and see how many laps i’ve run out and how many remaining.
