Trying to delete apps from my iPhone with iOS 14 and I can’t remove them I can remove from the home screen but I can’t delete them why not?

There may be a restriction set on deleting apps. On an iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases > Deleting Apps.

Thanks for the helpful quick response. Why would the default be “ don’t allow deleting apps”?
On the other hand, it does seem to be a pretty common question here -- so I'm not sure why so many people have that option turned on and are unaware of it.
I have never seen or heard of that being the default. It is not the default on any of my current or previous devices.
Trying to delete apps from iPhone. Followed instructions but cannot delete. Just remove from Home Screen. What’s up ?
