What is the mac equivalent to adobe acrobat?

The Mac equivalent is probably Preview, which comes built in to the Mac. There are other commercial programs, such as PDF Expert (there are many others) that include some of the features of Adobe Acrobat.

FWIW, Adobe Acrobat DC is a PDF editor, Preview is not. There is no Apple PDF editor.

Adobe makes a version of Acrobat for Macs. If you need to edit pdfs, it's the way to go.
