Photo library

Ever since migrating from my former MacBook to a new MacBook M1 at the end of December, I cannot open my photo library. The error message is the the photos library could not be recognized. Meanwhille behind the pop-up box I see "100%". Has anyone else had this problem and if so have you found a solution?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.2
