Can I Swap My Current SSD In My MacBook Pro To Another Macbook Pro?

Some background:

I have a 13IN MID 2012 MBP with a i5 processor. Everything is maxed out on it and its a really good laptop but I just found out theres another Edition of this computer with a i7 processor. So I wanna upgrade to this i7 version of MBP. They’re both in the same category (macbookpro9,2 | A1278 (EMC 2554*).

What I want to do:

I want to swap out my SSD in my current i5 MBP and put it into the new i7 MBP.

My questions:

• IS this possible (they’re both the same model just different processors)
• Will they be any errors in the software?
