I am attempting to upgrade to Catalina from High Sierra, but for the three times I've tried, I keep getting an error message that says "An unexpected error occurred while moving files to the final destination." What am I doing wrong or how can I resolve this issue so I can successfully update to Catalina?

If you have issue— verify you are using the Safari browser to download/initiate the macOS links:

In the Applications Folder look for Previous Catalina Installer and move to trash and follow the instructions of @leroydouglas
