Apple Mail vertical columns

How can this be fixed? I want to pick what columns I see...flags, attachments, but especially what mailbox the mail is coming from. I use Apple mail for 5 different mail services and usually look at "Inbox" to see all the new mail. And I want to size the columns.

apple mail view column settings .. question in apple mail, i cannot ever get the columns i set to appear to a set size and keep them like that. i have smart mailboxes i use to sort mail by date and i create a new tab for each of those. but the columns will not remain the same size that i set when i create other tabs of the same smart mailbox or if i view another mailbox in the same tab and go back to the previous mailbox the columns default to something else. this is annoying, very. when i open mail i want to see my existing tabs, with the columns/order/size that i set for that mailbox. don't understand why there aren't settings in apple mail to do that. if removing my cache in apple mail might help, please post some instructions ? I could try that. but want to note this: i have POP email, so i won't do anything that could wipe out the 30,000+ emails i've stored in the v7 mail folder.

Mail. New mailbox layout is really annoying. Can I change it back? I am using Mail on OS11.6 (I can't update any more until Adobe updates a couple of apps to match MacOS). Recently Mail reorganised the lefthand mailbox column. It used to be that I had all inboxes at the top then Sent and then other automatic folders etc If I selected "All inboxes" I saw all incoming mail. Now the lefthand column is listed by account, each one having its own inbox, sent, trash etc. It's really counter intuitive and cumbersome to work with. Checking the mail now involves rooting around to look at each individual inbox. Can I change it back? Did I inadvertently change this or does Apple now think this is the way forward?

Mail now fills entire. How to change back so that I can change mail Mail now fills my entire screen. It did not do this ever before. the screen was a normal size and I coululd change as is done with every panel on a mac

In Catalina, it cannot be "fixed."

They added that capability back in Big Sur.
