I would like to disable Message read notifications for particular contacts. I know it is a feature in iOS14, but I don't see the option in any of my contacts. Is this perhaps a limitation with the iPhone7?
UPDATE: I just realized the future isn't available on the particular contact because they don't use iPhone. It is a contact with Android. Problem solved.
where are you looking? I don't believe you'd see this from within the Contacts app..
go into Messages and select a thread from another iMessage user that you want to send or stop sending read receipts.
Tap their name/icon at the top of the thread, tap Info, then it should be shown in the options

You can not disable it for specific contacts. It's all or nothing.
