Hi, I recently bought a macbook. Can I keep the apps open or is it better to close them every time?

Personal Choice to keep open of not. Really, if the App is open not being used for some time - why keep it open. It will just use up available RAM / CPU and serve not benefit to keep it open

None of the apps will stay in the bin (trash) How do you delete these? There are plenty instructions telling you how to delete apps by dragging to the bin or using Launchpad but none of my apps allow these options. Are all the instruction wrong or are my apps somehow locked to prevent deletion? Even a simple app like chess will not delete.
