iPod touch is locked and says iPod is disabled connect to iTunes

My daughters iPod has locked and says IPod is disabled connecte to iTunes!

we didn’t set it up with iTunes so what do we do?

Install iTunes, then follow these instructions: If you forgot the passcode on your iPod touch, or your iPod touch is disabled - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211080
