My air pods do not play a sound to help locate them even when they are fully charged, within range and out of the charging case. I just get the error Sound pending 'will play when connected'. Any ideas?

If your AirPods are out of Bluetooth range, out of charge, or in the case with the cover closed, Find My won't give a current location. You just have to find them manually by looking for them. However, Find My may list the most recent location where they were last connected.

Hi thanks for response. The AirPods were charged, out of the box and sitting 3m from the phone with Bluetooth on but they still would not play sound to locate them.
Air pods wont play sound when lost - sound pending 'will play when connected'
