Just got a new MacBook Air. Old MacBook (5 years old) had Outlook. Can I transfer Outlook from old to new MacBook? If so, how? If not, do I have to purchase and install new version of Outlook?

If your Office is the 2011 version, it won’t run on a new Mac. If you have office 2016 or 2019, as long as you have your old license key that can be installed (download from Microsoft) and activated. Else, subscribe to Microsoft 365.

As long as you are running the 64 bits Office you can. This has to be Office 2016 or later though.

You can choose Archive -> Export and Archive -> Import options in Outlooks menu to create backups of your contact, mail etc.

Then on your new Mac you can use the Import option.

You just have to setup your account settings yourself (server information, username & password).
