I just formatted my new Seagate portable drive for Catalina 10.15. the Upgrade for Big Sur is out, will be Seagate portable drive be compatible?

For example, I have several external drives which were formatted a number of years ago (for Macintosh) and they all function normally with my iMac following its upgrade to Big Sur.
