longevity of service for my future mac

Hello,

I will be receiving a Macbook Pro 16" at the end of March. It has been a while since I have owned one. That Macbook will be for my work going forward. I've had a 2011 macbook pro in the past and by the time it started have hardware issues, apple no longer were making parts for it. My question is, besides extended apple care (which I will have) what are my options for keeping my Macbook functional? Is there a trade in program for when my machine get outdated?

Last question, first:

Usually a 'credit is offered' and that may vary; since a third-party service

is used by Apple to estimate a trade-in value. ~ And they've been off.

You could do better discussing this matter at future date w/ local AASP.

Or talk with an actual Apple retail store location; I'd never trade-in a Mac.

• Apple Trade In - Apple

The extended AppleCare+ is an option to add two more years to basic

warranty. This is will not be further extended.

• Find information about your warranty or AppleCare plan - Apple Support

{An old MacBook Pro would still be repairable and parts available

for such things as memory, storage (SSD/HDD) & others, see OWC.}

Good luck & happy trails!
