I have Mac OS high Sierra version 10.13.6
MacBook Pro (13-inch early, 2011)
it gives me a option for software update but I click on it and it takes me to my applications in App Store to update
also I don't have a big variety of choices I can pick to download apps on the App Store nothing like google play store and I for some reason don't have a whole lot to choose from for apps to download. I'm kinda new to apple products.
not highjacking anything I just had pretty much the same question if not similar shirt didn't think ppl are real serious about starting or should I say trying to start a internet war full of drama starting by using the words hijacking like if I were trying to steal something precious to ya or something lol thank you all for answering my questions by the way I'm still trying to learn how to use apple devices/ MacBook Pro
That's as far as you can go. The early 2011 MacBook Pro is not capable of running anything later than 10.13.6
It is considered obsolete.
iOS runs on iPhones. macOS runs on Macs.
Big Sur is macOS 11. What model Mac do you have and what version of macOS is it running now?
FWIW, High Sierra is the latest version of macOS you can run. Your MBP is 10 years old and is considered obsolete.
It’s an early 2015 retina 13”, I believe it’s running Yosemite but I’m not with it right now so I would need to verify
It’s NOT a 2011, not sure where that came from. I did check to see and Big Sur is compatible with the machine

FWIW, it came from marissa94 hijacking your thread.
