The party holding the Activation Lock is the only entity that can release that lock, absent some purchasing information that you very likely lack access to.


If the party holding the Activation Lock is willing to release the lock, here is what they need to do:

If the party holding the Activation Lock is not willing to remove it, return it for a refund, or recycle it.
