I have a MacBook Pro, and iPad Pro, and iphone7 and all these share well. I have set up home sharing with my wifes iPad but it does not work. Cannot see any of my music in her Library. As far as I can see everything is turned on and it should work

It's running the latest of software as well and I am signed in to my apple account on this device as well. My PC is connected by ethernet cable to the same gateway that supplies the AP for the wireless network. Scanning the network shows both devices connected to the same network. I've run out of things to try, any help very much appreciate thank you.

Home Sharing - Allowing family members to stream my music whilst on the same network Hi. I have a music library on my Mac (iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019) running Monterey 12.2.1). I am logged in to my Mac with my Appleid. Whilst in the house (and on the same network) my son would like to stream music from my library (he is using an iphone 11 with ios 15.3.1). He is logged in to his iphone with his Appleid. He is named as part of my family (for family sharing) In the Music app on his phone, he cannot see the library on my Mac in Home Sharing. He can however see my iTunes Store purchases. My question is, should my son be able to see the full library on my Mac or is it restricted to purchases only? If it should be the full library, which is the likely setting I have missed. Please note that I can stream the full library - not just purchases - across the network from my Mac to my iphone (logged in with the same Appleid to both devices). All help gratefully received. TC

Home sharing will only read one library. Second library not seen What else can I do. Both computers and Apple TV are on same Wi-Fi, iTunes account and password are the same for all three devices. home sharing turned on on all three. One library is Mary’s library. The other computer is Billy’s library. On Apple TV the only one seen is Mary’s library. Settings are all the same on both. Windows pc. The only difference is that music files on Billy’s library are mostly on an external drive. I’ve turned home sharing off. Then on. Software is all current, Wi-Fi is the same network. Help!,

Past purchase are permanently tied to the Apple ID that made them. You don't generally want to be switching IDs once you have set things up. You can copy content from one computer to another over your network or with a USB drive.

Home Sharing works with multiple devices signed into a single Apple ID. If your wife has her own ID you won't see her shared content, and she won't see yours.

Thank you. She does have her own id so we will not be able to share. I don't seem to be able to change her id to mine....
