MacBook Pro Touch 2018 Model, now Battery dies within 30 minutes of full charge.

I have a MacBook Pro Touch 13" 2018 Model, 2 years old only. Now, Battery dies within 30 minutes of full charge. I only use Safari and Zoom. What is the issue?

I have reset the NVRAM, PRAM, and SMC. Still the same battery life.

Agreed, I mostly use it with the power adapter. But on occasions, it now only lasts for 1 hour, where earlier it used to last for 8 hours

^-- THAT is the symptom of a battery nearing the end of its useful life.

Computer batteries are a wear item, like the soles of your shoes or the tires and brake shoes on your car. Eventually, they need to be replaced, and their wear is caused by their use but also by time.

Apple suggests replacement when the battery declines to providing 80 percent of the run-time it supplied originally.

Sounds like the battery has failed:

If you hold the Option key and click the BATT icon in the upper right corner, anything but Condition : Normal needs service.

That computer is a battery-CAPABLE device. It is not optimized as a battery-operated device.

Your computer performs best when connected to AC power. It can use the full output of the Power Adapter AND when doing especially challenging work will also freely "borrow" power from the battery. In some cases, the charged state may even decline during stressful work.

When used only on battery, your computer has no extra cushion of power, and will perform more slowly. However, for ordinary non-stressful tasks this may not be objectionable (possibly not even noticeable.)

In general, you should ALWAYS connect AC power when it is possible to do so, and only run on batteries (which will be somewhat slower) when no AC sources are at hand. There are three micro-controllers cooperating on battery and charging issues, and your Mac will NEVER over-charge.

In my opinion, ZOOM is not an "ordinary, non-stressful task". Zoom is one of the most taxing things your computer can do.
