Greyed Out Songs

Recently, I put songs from a CD I own onto iTunes on my Mac, then I transfered that music onto my iPhone. However, some songs are greyed out and say "This song is not available in your country or region." I've tried un- and resyncing my music library, deleting those songs, and yet they still wont play. Any idea how to help?

Non-iTunes music can’t cannot be played on my iPhone I have a few old CD albums that I have had on my iTunes for many years that I recently transferred over to my iPhone. The songs from these albums used to play perfectly fine until recently when they became greyed out and I get this “This song is not currently available in your country or region” does anyone have any similar issues/know of a way to get around it? These albums were bought before iTunes existed so it seems stupid that Apple has any right to say they’re not available.

Purchased music plays on my desktop but not my iPhone 11. On my iPhone a huge number of the songs I spent purchasing and downloading this afternoon on my desktop will play there but not on my phone. On my phone they are greyed out and I get the error message that "This song is not currently available in your country or region". These two devices are a foot apart... pretty sure I'm in the same region. This makes no sense. How do I fix this?

Try signing out of the iTunes Store on the device and then try syncing again.

Otherwise see this post on erratic syncing.
