I understand that your MacBook Air may be connected to an external display and you would like your external display to mirror the screen on your MacBook Air.

You can open System Preferences ➔ Displays ➔ Mirror Displays : Put a checkmark on that.

There is valuable information in this guide published by Apple ➔ Use external monitors with your Mac.
