Hello, I'm using an iMac with OS 10.14.6. Should I have apple TV on my iMac?

I just signed up for apple TV. I'm using an iMac. OS is 10.14.6. Should Ihave the Apple TV app on this machine? Or are iMacs excluded from this?

As a stop gap, I'm trying to view Apple TV through a browser. I'm not getting a menu. I have a total of 12 movies I can select from. There is no menu to select or search anything.
