Does your new iPhone have an active SIM card providing cellular service to your iPhone? Normally, one would transfer the active SIM card from the old iPhone to the new iPhone however some carriers require that the iPhone 12 Pro Max have their 5G capable SIM card. Please call your carrier and get this resolved.
