Can I update my iMac from 2011?

I have an iMac from 2011 that I am trying to update. Is that possible?

To upgrade to High Sierra from Lion, you need to upgrade to Sierra first.


  1. Get “Sierra” using this link: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211683.
  2. Download and install the update. Backup first!
  3. Once in Sierra, download High Sierra using this link: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211683.
  4. Upgrade to High Sierra. Backup first!
