I need to update my operating system, but my current system preferences does not contain a up

my operating system is yosemite 10.10.5 I need to update this system. Have gone to App Store for update and the system tells me that there are no updates available. Please Help

OS upgrades hi - i have a late 2014 imac. For some reason i am still stuck on the Yosemite OS and there are no updates available in system preferences and / or app store. Does anybody know why this would be and how to fix? I appreciate its an old model and might not be compatible with Monterrey but surely i can get more recent versions than Yosemite? thanks

Need help finding how to update my system. I have a MacBook Pro and when I go to system preferences they is nothing that says updates. I have a MacBook Pro ~ OS X Yosemite version 10.10.5, I am using Google Chrome as my browser. I am told I need to update my system to a higher version. I can not locate in Preferences a place to do that. When I go to the app store I do not see an app that will allow me to do that either. I am no longer able to use online sites that I have been using and would like some help on how to proceed with updating my system.

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and depending on which iMac model you have, download El Capitan, High Sierra, Catalina, or Big Sur through the links provided.
