Search all mailboxes is missing from Big Sur mail
There appears to be no opportunity to search all mailboxes in Big Sur mail. Only all inboxes. I have looked everywhere. Prior mail setup was much better.

Unfortunately search in Mail is broken in Big Sur for a lot of us. There are multiple discussions here about it, you need to log off or reboot to fix it temporarily.
You should use the feedback system to report it to Apple and hope they see it.
I guess that the problem is solved. It is most non-intuitive that the search all mailboxes becomes visible only if one has installed the Favorites tool bar and then only after a search has been initiated and the searched for message has not been found.
Thank you for your prompt response.
I see now what is happening...
In the View menu, choose "Show Favorites Bar".
Yes, there is.
Just the left of "All Inboxes" it says "All"...
I see no nothing like what you show. My search field looks like this. I use Big Sur 11.2
There, I have typed in the search box. What is supposed to happen?
You have not typed anything into the search box!
