Apple Watch cant pair

I am in desperate need of help. I stopped using my Apple Watch (for longer than I hoped) and when I came back to it it’s now telling me to reset it and pair it again. That’s fine but I deleted the watch app months ago so my phone isn’t paired with it even though my watch it. When I try to repair it - it just says that the watch has already been paired. I’m really not sure what to do
