I cannot delete unwanted apps by pressing in icon on home screen. I press and it jiggles but an “x” does not appear.

I cannot delete unwanted apps from my homescreen. I tap and it jiggles but the “x” does not come up

Turn off Screen Time, delete the app and then turn Screen Time back on.
