A warning that a system extension signed by Silabs will be incompatible with a future version of MacOS Catalina 10.15.7. I tried contacting the developer but hit a dead end. How serious is this? Does anyone know what sort of effect it will have on my computer, how I can fix it or preferably if I can safely ignore it?
It will not be incompatible with a future version of macOS Catalina (there won't ever be one). It is referring to Big Sur as the future macOS version.

Thank you so much, it sounds like I can ignore the warning then. Will Big Sur be a choice or will it feed through as an update? If so do you know when it's likely to happen?
It was release several months ago.
If you didn't get an offer to install it from Software Update, your Mac may not be able to run it.
