Three Thoughts:


  • Damaged Port, Maybe?:

If the port on your iPod is damaged. So, see about getting this serviced.


  • Which Cable to Use:

Based on personal experience: If it were the charger itself, then try going brand-for-brand(Apple-for-Apple), though not necessary, it will increase reliability and trustworthiness between the two devices.
