Iphone 11 on silent rings loud

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're having an issue with calls audibly ringing when your iPhone is switched to Silent mode. We're happy to help.

We recommend double-checking to make sure the Silent switch isn't loose, and is showing orange when this occurs. IF needed, the article here has a great visual: How to put your iPhone on vibrate, ring, or silent mode

Also, if you use the Back Tap feature on your iPhone, check to ensure it's not set to turn off silent mode. You can find this by navigating to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Back Tap. Use Back Tap on your iPhone

Let us know if that helps, and if the issue only occurs when using the Phone app or if third-party calling apps or FaceTime calls are audible when in Silent mode as well.

Thanks for the information. When Silent mode is enabled, If you've verified the accessibility feature isn't turned on, and the Silent switch is set correctly we recommend you Contact Apple Support.

My phone did that as well , was explained by friends that it does get loud when background sound is noticed and deemed loud , phone ring gets very loud to compensate. its an automatic build in feature with the new update.
