I transferred files from an old Mac to a new one but some of the photos were lost. Albums transferred but there were no photos in them. What would have caused this and is there anyway to retrieve them.
Have you been using iCloud Photos on the old Mac? Then enable it on the new Mac as well.
Are only the albums empty, or are you not seeing any photos at a ll in the "Al Photos" view in Photos on your new Mac?
