unable to sign in to facetime or messages on macbook

Hi All,

I am unable to sign in to my facetime and messages on my macbook using the same apple Id/icloud Id as my iphone.

I provide my credentials > click next > shows the cancel button and spinner > asks for credentials without showing any error message on screen.

Same outcome for both (facetime and messages). I have tried changing my password and all the steps mentioned in -> https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204408

Even the NVRAM Step.

Any idea how to reset the apps completely (remove saved data/credentials/history)?

If more information is needed can you let me know how to provide.

Thanks.

This was resolved. The support on chat removed the lock on my appleid for the facetime and messages.

I restarted and its working fine now.
