iPhone SE 2 Battery status shows wrong percentage

Hello, so my iPhone begun to behave a bit funky. When I charge it to a certain percentage lvl, it then becomes stuck at that percentage. Then when I am using it it either doesn’t goes down or does but since it was stuck, the real percentage is lower so the phone then turns off out of nowhere. It is very irritating especially when I am on the street and not knowing when my phone dies. I don’t know whether it is software or battery issue. Could you please help?
