Unable to reset fitness calibration data

My calories aren’t being counted correctly. I have tried everything- restarting unpairing, it is also connected to motion and fitness, starting up as a new watch ect. I have read to reset fitness calibration data- however when I click this button it does not do anything at all??

I have a series 3 watch and it is about a week old.

it is very frustrating.
