scam emails

emails that say you are locked out. How do I know it is now a phishing scam

If those messages claim to be from Apple, they're always phishing; forward them to reportphishing@apple.com as attachments and then delete them.

If those messages claim to be from someone else, visit their website manually instead of following any links in them.
