Screen Recording Issues

Quicktime Player and Screen Recording Launcher on my MacBook Air 2020 both arent working. I normally use command shift 5 to screen record, but the only message it leaves is 'your screen recording can't be saved. error saving recording.' When I use Quicktime Player, it says to use screen recording launcher instead. I've restarted my computer several times as well as updated to the newest update. Any recommendations? Thanks :)

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help with screen recording in QuickTime. It sounds like you are receiving an error and the recording cant be saved.

Does this happen with all other apps and webpages closed? Some apps and webpages may restrict screen recording.


Does this also happen inside a new user account? Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac.
