My free trial doesn’t work

Hey! I just got this iPad and I just switched from Samsung to apple, so I’m kinda new, I have the iPad Air 4th generation but I read on you website that thus comes with a 1 year free trial on Apple TV. But I’m confused because when I went on the app to start the trial, it just told me to start a 7 day trial. Like i said, I am new to apple so I figured I probably did something wrong. I’m hoping you guys could help somehow.
