Unknown new device apparently using AppleID?

I have just received a message saying that my Apple ID and iPhone number are being used for iMessage and FaceTime on a new iPad. I checked the devices connected to my Apple ID and I recognize them all (NO new additions). How can I see this "new" device? Is this arendom message, or could someone be logged on to another device using my credentials and it still be blind to me?

If they were logged into your Apple ID, you should see it on your device list. As a precaution, change your password.

 Apple ID Password Change.

What to do after you change your Apple ID or password - Apple Support     I suggest doing this before you change your Apple ID or password.
