Mac Mini M1 DisplayPort issue

I've written about this before and some people told me not to make my display sleep but this just doesn't seem like a viable solution to me.

The problem:

When my Mac Mini M1 is connected to my 5k Samsung 49" display, it works great...however after the display sleeps (from Energy Saver turning off display after 15 minutes), it doesn't seem to wake-up the display when I press on the keyboard or move my mouse.

If I unplug the Thunderbolt connector/DisplayPort from the Mac Mini then plug it back in...it works fine.

Does anyone else have this problem ?
