can you have 2 pics together on the screen at once

Yes, you can do that with the Split Screen feature. Put on photo into the upper timeline on top of the other. Select the upper photo by clicking on it. That will make the overlay tool (the one that looks like overlapping squares) appear in the tool bar at the upper right of your screen. Click on the selection box to get the split screen, and then click on Split Screen. Then click on the blue reset button at the upper right of your screen to apply your settings. That will display both pictures side by side.

To display three pics you would need to use some other app to create the 3-pic.
