Music Playlist View

Anyone else notice that after the big sur update that your playlist on music appear different? The artwork, name of playlist and other miscellaneous things take up much more room only allowing me to view 15 songs of my playlist at a time. Anyone know how to minimize this back to how it was before the update?

How do I minimize (or remove) the top half of a playlist in the Music app? I just upgraded from an old MacBook Pro running Catalina to a new one with Big Sur. On Big Sur, the Music app's playlists all have about half of the screen taken up by a giant collage of album art, plus the playlist name, song count, playtime, etc. On Catalina, I could minimize this somewhat by dragging the bottom edge of it up (i.e., drag the top of the columns up). That doesn't seem to be an option in Big Sur. It's a waste of space and I'd rather have more songs visible than...absolutely nothing on the right sight. Any way to fix this?

Music Playlist is blank Songs are not shown - screen is blank - if I view the playlist as "View as Songs" I have an I Mac bought new a year ago. I switched and downloaded from OS Catalina to OS Big Sur today. I have Music version 1.1.2.28. I can't remember which Music version I had yesterday. Now songs no longer show on my playlists, if I click on View as Songs. Songs do show if I click on View As Playlist. However, I prefer it on View as Songs, I like the layout better than on View as Playlist. Why is it blank if I click on View as Songs? It shows no songs, but does play them. So the songs are there - just not shown. Same problem on all Music playlists now. How can I make the songs visible with "View as songs"? Note - there is a scroll bar on the right with View as Playlist, but there is not a scroll bar on the right with View as Songs. I suspect this has something to do with it. I did not have this problem with OS Catalina.

"Music" app in Big Sur: Hide giant Playlist name and graphics? I have recently "upgraded" to Big Sur and learned Music is its own app now. In a playlist, how do I hide the giant album cover montage at the top right pane, which takes up half the laptop screen? I want to see only the song list in the playlist, but currently can only see 15 at a time. What setting am I overlooking?

It cannot be changed. It is a new design in the recent update, and many people have complained about it. It wastes a lot of space and undermines the value of Songs view. You can submit feedback to Apple at this link:
