Fan stays on and wont go off and loud

why is the fan on my MacBook pro staying on all of a sudden

Hi,

Resetting SMC could solve the fan issue, if your MacBook Pro has Intel CPU.

How to reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support

Also run Apple Diagnostics if it reports fan related error(PPF001, PPF003, PPF004) or SMC error(PFM001 to PFM007).

Use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac - Apple Support
