Pages object
I have added an image in pages. I really can't click now that the image must 'go with text'. The image is not grouped with text, nor is it locked

Do not use the <> tool in this editor's toolbar to post reqular text, as it suppresses normal formatting and scrolls the text off the screen.
If you inserted an image into Pages, you should be able to select it and from the Arrange panel, set its text wrap to none, so you can move it around.
