Whenever I close the lid of my macbook pro it goes to sleep, even if I press keys on the keyboard or the mouse. The only way I can use it is when the lid is open a little bit. What else can I try?

You need an external display, keyboard, mouse/trackpad, and AC power for the Mac (either from a USB-C display with sufficient power delivery or the Mac’s power adapter).
This doesn't work for me - macbook pro only goes to sleep when I close the lid even with the monitor attached. Anything else I can try?
